A Little About
​Myself.

My name is Francisco Vinalay. A year ago, I relocated from Orange County, California to Charlotte, North Carolina. Currently, I'm a full-time employee for Charter Communications. I'm in the process of completing my first semester in Central Piedmont Community College. 

I enjoy photography and videography. During my free time, I create digital content to preserve family memories.

Traveling is a big part of my life. I'm very adventurous and I appreciate seeing new places. Meeting new people and tasting new foods are two reasons why I love to travel! 

Summary of Goals

Short Term

Graduate from Central Piedmont Community College with my Associate in Arts degree by the end of 2020.

Transfer to UNC Charlotte in August 2020 to pursue my Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration.

Enroll in a Data Science Seminar in a local university by Fall 2019 to learn about advanced data analytics. 

Learn data science tools such as database tools, data visualization tools and analytics tools by 2022 to become a well-equipped potential candidate. 

Long Term

My long-term goal is to earn my Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration by 2022 and use it to become a Data Scientist by 2025 in a fortune 500 company. 

At this point in my life, I'm in a good starting position (reporting role) with my current employer. My experience with data and big data tools will help me prepare for a better opportunity down the road.

My skills are a great fit for the career I’m aiming for. I have great people skills, analytical background, and I’m aligning my education for the right role in the future. Two things I learned about my personality are that I enjoy influencing others, and that I like to create meaningful work. I’m a very competitive team player with my current employer and I love to be part of an effective team that influences decision making with my skill set.  I love to slice and dice data to tell stories and I believe that becoming a Data Scientist would be a dream job!
